GED Preparation (in Spanish)
Haga clic aquí para leer esta información en español. This course prepares you to pass the subjects of the GED exam, the course consists of 4 subjects: mathematics, social studies, language arts, and science. Each subject takes approximately 3 months.

The GED diploma serves to complete high school, to go to university and to apply to different jobs. The GED is available in Spanish and has the same value as the diploma in English. LEDC is the only organization offering free classes in Spanish to prepare you for the GED exam.

Where do I take the GED exams?

The GED exams are taken on a computer, so if you require training to use it, we also have free computer classes and tutoring. The exams themselves are not administered at LEDC. To find your nearest GED testing site, visit: ged.com

How much does the GED cost?

While our preparatory course is free, the exams cost $30 per subject, and are paid at GED.com when you register for each exam. You also may purchase optional textbooks, which cost about $25 per subject if you purchase new from our recommended publisher.

Basic Computer (only taught in Spanish)

This class teaches how to:

  • Find information (jobs) online
  • Fill out forms (job applications) online
  • Use email
  • Use the mouse and keyboard

Advanced Computer

In this class you will learn to:

  • Use Word and Excel
  • Use apps (cloud computing) that come with an email account
  • Skills needed for an office job

Requirements:

  • Spanish fluency
  • Fill out the intake and registration forms

Business Start-Up (currently only in Spanish)

Students learn:

  • Basic accounting
  • Marketing
  • Drafting a business plan
  • How to prepare a business loan package
  • Customer service
  • Health and labor regulations

Requirements:

  • Have a small business or business idea
